Job summary

L’Oréal Research & Innovation in Clark, New Jersey, is seeking a Manager of Environmental Health & Safety to lead and optimize EHS programs for US locations. You will help shape safety culture, manage incidents, and drive compliance with OSHA, EPA, and internal standards.

The role requires a bachelor’s in safety or environmental science (master’s preferred) and strong communication, leadership, and analytics skills. Domestic/international travel up to 15% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional EHS certifications preferred (CIH, CSP, CHMM, CPEA, or QEP).
• Experience with OSHA, EPA, and NFPA standards.
• Cosmetics/pharma lab EHS experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and evaluate EHS programs for US R&I locations.
• Manage EHS KPIs and analyze trends.
• Provide EHS training to R&I employees.
• Develop policies and procedures for EHS compliance.
• Lead or participate in EHS compliance assessments.
• Manage EHS Committees and Emergency Response Teams.
