Nexamp is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Manager to lead and implement safety programs across solar construction, energy storage, and operations in Upstate NY and Chicago, IL. You will partner with project teams, leadership, and subcontractors to promote a proactive safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role involves directing a regional EHS team, conducting site visits and investigations, and driving continuous improvement across HASPs, audits, and incident responses

Formación

• Bachelor of Science in Safety and Occupational Health or equivalent construction safety leadership experience.
• 4+ years of full‑time safety and occupational health experience in construction, renewable energy, or related field.
• Demonstrated management experience of direct reports or subcontractors.
• Utility‑scale electrical safety experience is preferred.
• NFPA 70E Certification, CSP/ASP/GSP or related certifications are preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and continuously improve EHS programs across solar construction, commissioning, operations, maintenance, BESS, and asset management within the region.
• Lead and develop regionally based EHS Specialists and subcontractors, ensuring site visits, partnerships with supervisors, time/expense tracking, and corrective action closure.
• Conduct site visits, inspections, audits, and safety observations to verify compliance and address deficiencies in a timely manner.
• Oversee incident reporting, investigations, and root cause analyses for injuries, environmental events, property damage, and near misses; ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Manage regulatory and environmental compliance for regional operations including OSHA, EPA, state/local requirements, permits, records, reports.
• Review job hazard analyses, work plans, permits, and training records with project teams; provide field coaching and verify controls for high‑risk activities.
• Monitor EHS performance by tracking leading/lagging indicators, preparing reports, and maintaining HASPs and drills.
