Job summary

Just-Evotec Biologics in Redmond, WA, seeks an experienced EHS Manager to lead environmental, health and safety programs across Seattle/Redmond sites. You will partner with production, lab, facilities and quality teams to drive a compliant, risk-aware culture.

Reporting to the Head of EHS US, you’ll develop risk assessments, manage inspections, incident investigations, and roll out digital tools for better risk management and chemical handling.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of EHS experience in pharma/biotech or life sciences.
• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, environmental science or related field; or scientific degree with EHS training.
• Experience in lab safety, biosafety, emergency response, hazardous waste and materials management.
• In-depth knowledge of applicable EHS laws and regulatory requirements.
• Experience conducting incident investigations and engaging with regulators.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage environmental, health, and safety programs to meet regulatory and corporate objectives.
• Improve EHS awareness through multiple communication channels across sites.
• Coordinate incident investigations and implement corrective actions to reduce risk.
• Lead digital tool implementations to enhance risk assessment, inspections, and chemical management.
• Oversee contractor safety and ensure training for high‑risk activities onsite.
• Support local policy gap analyses against U.S. and global Evotec policies.
• Support Safety Committee Chairs to meet charter objectives.
• Lead and train the Redmond Emergency Response Team for site readiness.
• Maintain EH&S records, data, and metrics for Redmond.
• Perform inspections to ensure safety and environmental compliance.
