Job summary

Just-Evotec Biologics in Redmond, WA is seeking an EH&S Manager to lead environment, health, and safety programs across the Redmond site and provide support for Seattle; collaboration with production, lab, facilities, and other teams is essential.

You will drive risk assessments, incident investigations, safety training, and contractor safety, ensuring compliance with US and global policies, and supporting emergency response readiness.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of EHS experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Environmental Science or related field; or scientific degree with EHS training.
• EHS experience in pharmaceutical, biotech or life science industries preferred.
• Experience in lab safety, biosafety, emergency response, hazardous waste and hazardous materials management.
• Deep knowledge of EHS laws and regulations affecting operations.
• Experience conducting incident investigations and interacting with regulatory agencies.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills across Facilities, Engineering, Quality and Operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage development and implementation of environmental, health, and safety programs to meet regulatory requirements and company objectives.
• Improve awareness of environmental and safety issues through diverse communication channels.
• Coordinate incident investigations with leaders to create corrective actions and reduce risk.
• Lead Redmond operations in implementing digital tools to improve risk assessment, inspections, and chemical management.
• Be the face for contractor safety; ensure high-risk activities are vetted and contractors trained onsite.
• Support gap analyses for local policies against US and Global Evotec policies.
• Support Safety Committee Chairs to meet charters and objectives.
• Lead and train the Redmond Emergency Response Team for on-site emergencies.
• Maintain Redmond EH&S records, data, and metrics; perform inspections for compliance.
