Job summary

ResponsAble Safety Staffing seeks an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead the implementation and oversight of Responsible Care EHS policies across facilities. You will coordinate permits, audits, training and reporting, and drive continual improvement in safety and compliance.

The role requires managing a proactive safety culture, supporting industrial hygiene, and leading EHS staff. Must have a Bachelor's degree and 7+ years' experience in safety/environmental leadership, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering or science, occupational health or safety, industrial hygiene, or another relevant field preferred but not required.
• Advanced knowledge of EHS regulations, management systems, regulatory agencies, trends and resources.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Identify hazards with site personnel and develop corrective/improvement measures.
• Manage implementation of EHS/Responsible Care policies, procedures, and calendars at locations.
• Promote proactive safety participation and ensure reporting of injuries, near misses and unsafe conditions.
• Develop and maintain environmental, health and safety programs to meet regulations and customer requirements.
• Support industrial hygiene through air/noise monitoring and exposure assessments.
• Support ISO 9000 and RC14001 continual improvement.
• Provide guidance and maintain EHS documentation; monitor regulatory interactions and permits.
• Coach and develop EHS staff and conduct performance reviews.
