Job summary

MORGAN OLSON LLC in Michigan seeks an experienced EHS Manager to develop, implement, and maintain environmental, health, and safety programs across painting and decaling operations. The role ensures compliance with OSHA, EPA, and Title VI air permits, conducts risk assessments, leads incident investigations, and drives safety training and behavior-based safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels and drive cultural change.
• Experience with hazardous waste management and emergency response planning.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees.
• Support investigations into EHS incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Maintain EHS logs, documentation, and regulatory reports on time.
• Oversee hazardous waste management, labeling, and disposal per regulations.
• Develop and manage emergency response plans, including first aid and evacuation procedures.
• Coordinate purchasing, maintenance, and inspection of PPE and safety equipment.
• Promote safety culture through behavior-based safety programs and meetings.
• Conduct regular manufacturing floor inspections to ensure EHS presence.
