Job summary

Philips Recruiting in Gastonia, NC is seeking an Associate Safety Specialist to support manufacturing safety programs and regulatory compliance. The role requires strong knowledge of OSHA/EPA regulations and experience driving safety improvements on the shop floor and in offices.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of relevant experience (or 5–10 years), an accredited degree in safety or environmental health, and excellent communication skills to influence all levels of staff and management.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, environmental health science, or similar degree.
• 3-5 years professional experience in occupational safety, environmental, or similar role(s); or 5-10 years professional experience in occupational safety, environmental, or similar role(s).
• Automotive or similar manufacturing backgrounds preferred
• OSHA 30 General Industry certifications preferred, but not required
• Knowledge of EPA (Environmental) OSHA (Occupational Safety), and similar regulations and reporting
• Experience leading safety events, driving safety improvements on the shop floor, in the offices and as part of the Leadership team.
