Job summary

Peet’s Coffee, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager for our Alameda site. You will lead Lean-based EHS programs, build a strong safety culture, and ensure OSHA compliance while driving continuous improvement across the facility.

You will partner with regulatory agencies, conduct audits, lead RCAs, and implement practical countermeasures. This full-time onsite role offers a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive base salary.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ISO environmental management systems and audits.
• CSP and/or CIH certification preferred.
• Lean manufacturing exposure and continuous improvement mindset.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead EHS programs for the Alameda site using Lean principles and pillar-based governance.
• Foster a safety culture through behavioral-based safety and daily management.
• Develop and maintain EHS standards meeting OSHA requirements and company expectations.
• Create practical training and communication on safe work practices and environmental expectations.
• Coordinate audits, inspections, RCAs, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
• Lead risk-reduction projects using Lean tools and root-cause thinking.
• Drive strategic EHS initiatives and align stakeholders across operations and maintenance.
