Job summary

Omya seeks an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager to guide the South Cluster plant and quarries toward full regulatory compliance and a safety‑first culture. You will lead planning, permit management, training, and incident prevention.

You will act as Radiation Safety Officer, interface with regulators, drive performance metrics, and promote leadership and authentic communication across all departments.

Qualifications

• Requires a 4-year degree (preferrably Safety Science or Engineering).
• 5–10 years of professional experience in occupational health and safety and environmental regulation.
• Excellent communication and authentic leadership skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Direct and develop overall planning and assist engineering with equipment installations or modifications for EHS.
• Develop and manage environmental permit applications for plant/quarry expansions.
• Oversee SPCC, SWPPP, and BMP plans and regulatory compliance reporting.
• Train personnel on EHS programs including MSHA Part 46, Fall Protection, and Confined Space.
• Maintain knowledge of MSHA, hazard communication, workers compensation law, and federal/state environmental requirements.
• Serve as Radiation Safety Officer and manage Radiation Protection Program.
• Interface with federal/state regulators and other agencies on environmental compliance.
• Drive safety culture through safety systems, campaigns, and leading indicator reporting.
• Ensure compliance with MSHA regulations and environmental recordkeeping.
