Job summary

Omya Inc. seeks a senior QSHE leader to oversee sustainability, regulatory compliance, and safety performance across North America. You will drive IMS and CMS programs, align with corporate objectives, and support growth at plants and quarries.

The role requires a 15+ year QSHE track record, ISO knowledge, and strong communication skills. Travel about 50% of the time is expected, with collaboration across multiple functions to improve overall performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Natural Sciences, Physical Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of successful experience in QSHE-related compliance leadership roles.
• Demonstrated team management and leadership experience within a global organization.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead creation and implementation of an IMS for North America to identify and reduce regulatory risks.
• Provide resources and support for local regulatory initiatives at plants and facilities to ensure baseline compliance.
• Support Sales and Marketing initiatives where sustainability characteristics provide a competitive advantage.
• Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to ensure appropriate responses and communications.
• Identify solutions for operational and regulatory compliance that are economically and technically viable while creating business advantages.
• Collaborate with Corporate/NA staff and site teams to integrate regulatory and sustainability considerations into new initiatives and projects.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve HSEQ performance and sustainability objectives.
• Lead the definition and implementation of a CMS for North America to manage risk and crisis response.
• Ensure response plans support rapid corrective actions and proper crisis communication.
• Maintain responsibility for cost, implementation, development, and maintenance of HSEQ systems.
• Remain current on regulatory matters within and outside North America affecting operations.
• Lead HSEQ-related due diligence in mergers and acquisitions.
• Promote cross-facility learning and continuous improvement across Omya.
