Job summary

Omya invites an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead the EHS program in our Wathena, KS facility. You will serve as the technical expert, guiding management on best practices for reducing hazards and improving safety performance.

The role emphasizes auditing, training, and regulatory compliance across operations. The position requires a Bachelor’s in EHS-related field and at least 5 years’ experience, with strong communication and data analysis skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, or EHS field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental health or occupational safety.
• Knowledge of local laws, standards, regulations, and policies pertaining to EHS.
• Strong computer skills with SAP EHS and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Advise management on effective EHS controls, training, and programs.
• Investigate accidents to identify causes and preventive measures.
• Conduct audits/inspections and develop action plans to fix hazards.
• Plan and deliver safety training; communicate safety concerns to managers.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
