Job summary

Vibrant Ingredients is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager for our Indianapolis facility. You will lead critical EHS programs, drive regulatory compliance, and foster a strong safety culture on the plant floor.

This hands-on role requires engagement with production operators and tight collaboration with site leadership. You will develop and manage environmental and safety initiatives, ensuring programs align with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards while delivering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field preferred.
• CSP or ASP certification preferred.
• 4–6 years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing/industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, ANSI, and related EHS regulations.
• Experience with EHS Management Systems, risk assessments, and root cause analysis.
• Ability to drive EHS initiatives independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHS software platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily site EHS operations and production-operator interfaces.
• Develop practical EHS solutions and execute with urgency and ownership.
• Lead environmental programs, including waste, air, water permits, and chemical handling.
• Implement and maintain EHS programs aligned with OSHA, EPA, and other standards.
• Promote proactive safety culture through training, risk assessments, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and root-cause analyses with corrective actions.
• Oversee environmental and safety metrics reporting and recordkeeping.
• Serve as primary contact for regulatory agencies and inspections.
• Draft and enforce safety policies and procedures.
• Champion EHS Management System using data to identify trends and drive improvements.
• Lead security efforts in partnership with corporate and plant leadership.
