Job Description
The successful candidate will have expert knowledge with the principals of electricity, experience implementing electrical safety programs, and demonstrated ability to influence electrical safety best practices. Candidates with a history of achievement in academics and industry are preferred.
Essential Duties:
- Design and implement robust electrical safety programs including elements for gatekeeping, risk assessment, lockout tagout, NFPA 70E, inspections, and training.
- Performs incident investigations, identifies root cause, recommends CAPA with appropriate follow-up.
- Trains and educates employees in safe work practices in accordance with statutory obligations and industry best practice.
- Manages the property safety and business continuity program for E&E.
- Conducts and documents risk assessments for ergonomics, PPE, toxic substances, and permit to work activities.
- Evaluates and controls employee exposure to hazardous substances and RF radiation.
- Serves as the Fleet Manager for driver and fleet safety initiatives.
- Manages hazard communication compliance in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.1200.
- Develops site specific emergency protocols. This includes but not limited evacuation, spills, medical response, active shooter/workplace violence, fire alarm investigations.
- Leads emergency response team training and organization at each location.
- Oversees and chairs safety committee meetings.
- Oversees characterization and management of regulated wastes.
- Wears and properly uses personal protective Equipment (PPE). This includes respirators, skin, face, hand and foot protection in a multiple number of combinations.
- Seeks and attends relevant training to maintain technical competencies and be an effective safety officer.

Basic Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in Safety, electrical engineering, or related degree. 2 year experience can substitute for 1 year of education.
- Minimum of three years’ experience managing electrical safety
- Self-starting, motivated learner
- OSHA 30
- NFPA 70E certification
- Lock out tagout expertis
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Additional Information
Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with additional hours as needed as workloads demand.
