We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to join our dynamic team in the Engineering industry. This is a permanent role that requires a deep understanding of environmental regulations, safety training, and accident investigation. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to ensuring the safety of our employees while minimizing our environmental impact. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in EHS roles.
Responsibilities
- Developing, implementing, and managing all aspects of the organization's EHS programs and initiatives.
- Conducting regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Identifying potential environmental and safety risks and developing strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Providing safety training and education to employees to foster a culture of safety within the organization.
- Leading accident investigations, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Developing and maintaining documentation related to EHS activities such as incident reports, training records, and regulatory reports.
- Collaborating with other departments and stakeholders to ensure the integration of EHS considerations into business decisions.
- Staying abreast of current and emerging EHS regulations and industry trends to ensure the organization’s ongoing compliance.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in an EHS role within the Engineering industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of environmental regulations and safety standards.
- Proven experience in conducting safety training and accident investigations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey EHS policies and procedures across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to identify potential risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Proficiency in using EHS management systems and other related software.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or other relevant certifications are a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the EHS field.
