Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or Safety Sciences; Master's preferred.
  • CSP and/or COSS certification within the last 3 years preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years' manufacturing experience with proven safety program success.
  • Experience with OSHA and federal/state reporting and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead environmental, health, safety, and sustainability programs aligned with World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles and business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain ISO-based EHS management systems and standards.
  • Manage site permits and environmental compliance requirements.
  • Create and deliver EHS training programs to increase awareness and accountability.
  • Partner with plant managers, supervisors, and employees to identify and reduce workplace risks.
  • Lead incident investigations, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with other sites to share best practices and drive continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

As the EHS Manager, you will serve as the site's EHS leader, providing strategic direction and hands‑on support to strengthen environmental, health, safety, and sustainability performance.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Lead and continuously improve environmental, health, safety, and sustainability programs aligned with World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles and business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain ISO-based management systems and EHS standards.
  • Manage site permits and environmental compliance requirements.
  • Create and deliver impactful EHS training programs that increase awareness, engagement, and accountability.
  • Partner with plant managers, supervisors, and employees to proactively identify and reduce workplace risks.
  • Foster an autonomous safety culture where employees actively participate in driving safe behaviors and practices.
  • Lead accident and incident investigations, identify root causes, and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
  • Develop and maintain site-specific EHS procedures and best practices.
  • Collaborate with other manufacturing sites to share knowledge, drive best practices, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Champion programs that improve workplace safety, operational excellence, and environmental performance.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?
Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering , Safety Sciences is required, Master's preferred.
  • CSP Certification within the last 3 years preferred.
  • COSS Certification with the last 3 years preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment with a proven track records of success in reducing occupational injuries and maintaining compliance with pertinent regulations is required,
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with a strong safety background and experience in federal regulations and reporting. Experience with OSHA, federal and state reporting and regulations is required.

Pay Transparency

Certain locations require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint‑Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $102,000 to $158,000 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 13% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $115,200 to $178,500. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
