Job summary

nVent is seeking an experienced EHS leader to advance our safety and environmental programs across our manufacturing operations. You will partner with the Plant Manager and leadership to align initiatives with site priorities, drive a ZERO HARM culture, and improve incident prevention and regulatory compliance.

You will own waste, water, and energy programs, coordinate investigations, provide training, and mentor teams to apply OSHA and EPA requirements on the shop floor.

Qualifications

  • Background in Engineering, Science, Safety, or Environmental disciplines preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental, engineering, construction management or related preferred.
  • Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience leading safety and/or environmental management systems.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or construction environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, with the ability to apply them effectively in a plant setting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and advance EHS strategy by providing clear, consistent direction that supports both people and business outcomes.
  • Be a visible safety leader with a strong shop floor presence and mentorship in safety, health, and environment.
  • Collaborate with Plant Manager to align EHS initiatives with site priorities and long-term objectives.
  • Identify workplace hazards and collaborate with plant teams to mitigate risk.
  • Champion a ZERO HARM culture and drive safe behaviors across the organization.
  • Monitor OSHA and EPA regulatory requirements and translate them into practical solutions.
  • Own environmental programs related to waste, water, and energy and ensure compliance and sustainability.
  • Engage employees to identify, develop, and implement continuous EHS improvements.
  • Manage EHS documentation, permits, and vendor relationships for accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate workers' compensation cases with HR and Legal for appropriate outcomes.
  • Lead incident reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective action follow-up.
  • Facilitate EHS training programs meeting regulatory and company requirements.

YOU HAVE:
