Job summary

nVent is seeking an experienced EHS Leader to drive safety and environmental performance at our manufacturing site. You will lead strategy, mentor teams, and partner with the Plant Manager to align initiatives with long-term objectives.

You will identify hazards, drive a ZERO HARM culture, and ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA requirements while managing environmental programs and training. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in EHS leadership within manufacturing, an ASP certification is

Qualifications

  • 5+ years leading safety and/or environmental management systems.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations and plant application.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and advance EHS strategy with clear direction for people and business outcomes.
  • Be a visible safety leader with shop floor presence and mentorship.
  • Collaborate with Plant Manager and leadership to align initiatives with site priorities.
  • Identify hazards and mitigate risks across the plant.
  • Champion ZERO HARM culture and drive safe behaviors.
  • Monitor OSHA/EPA regulatory requirements and translate into practical solutions.
  • Own environmental programs for waste, water and energy and ensure compliance.
  • Engage employees at all levels to implement continuous EHS improvements.
  • Manage EHS documents, permits and vendor relationships.
  • Coordinate workers' compensation with HR and Legal.
  • Lead incident reporting, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Facilitate EHS training to meet regulatory and company requirements.

What you will experience in this position

  • Monitor and interpret EHS regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA), assess potential impacts, and translate requirements into practical, effective solutions.
  • Own environmental programs related to waste, water, and energy, supporting both regulatory compliance and sustainability initiatives.
  • Engage employees at all levels to identify, develop, and implement continuous EHS improvements.
  • Manage EHS documentation, permits, and vendor relationships, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate workers' compensation cases, partnering with HR and Legal to drive appropriate outcomes.
  • Lead incident reporting and investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action follow up.
  • Facilitate EHS training programs, ensuring all regulatory and company requirements are met and well understood.
You have
  • Background in Engineering, Science, Safety, or Environmental disciplines
  • Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive experience leading safety and/or environmental management systems
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, with the ability to apply them effectively in a plant setting
