Job summary

Jobtailor in Franklin, TN is seeking an experienced EHSS Manager to design, implement and oversee the organization's EHSS programs and systems across manufacturing operations.

The role leads safety audits, investigations, waste management, worker’s compensation, and stakeholder communications, with 3–5 years of EHS experience and a Bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related EHS field.
• 3–5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing setting.
• 1–2 years of leadership experience preferred.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations (US EPA, SSHA, DOT, OSHA).
• Ability to interpret regulations to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement and oversee EHSS programs, procedures and systems.
• Manage EHSS activities including performance, safety audits, investigations, reports and recommendations, waste management, and stakeholder relations.
• Direct management of workers' compensation claims.
• Maintain EHSS metrics, record keeping, and communications.
• Manage EHSS vendors, expenses and budget.
• Represent facility on EHSS Council.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in Occupational Health & Safety/ EHS related field
• 3-5 years related EHS experience in a manufacturing facilty
• 1 -2 years leadership experience preferred
• Excellent general problem-solving skills
• Knowledge and current understanding of all applicable regulations including federal, state and local laws and standards (US EPA, SSHA, DOT, OSHA, etc.)
• Ability to interpret regulations to ensure compliance
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
• Excellent written & verbal communication
• Strong presentation skills
