Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an Environmental / Safety Coordinator to manage ISO functions, EMS procedures, and training initiatives. The role involves coordinating with the General Manager on environmental, health, and safety programs and leading audits and regulatory reporting.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma (associate in environmental studies a plus), strong analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to travel locally.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the General Manager on all environmental, health, and safety programs.
• Administer the organization’s ISO functions, procedures, manuals, and document control.
• Develop environmental procedures and coordinate EMS committee and objective meetings.
• Track, graph, and trend data related to ISO objectives and targets.
• Create and update ISO communication media.
• Schedule, track, and conduct EMS training when necessary.
• Implement and train the team on waste segregation and coordinate waste disposal.
• Maintain environmental compliance tracking and update manuals and records.
• Investigate non-conformances using corrective action forms and root cause analysis.
• Develop preventative actions and maintain the continuous improvement log.
• Schedule and participate in internal audits, management reviews, and third-party audits.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental laws and submit required regulatory data.
• Lead environmental culture change at home and work with the General Manager.
• Develop local community relationships to promote environmental awareness.
• Help coordinate safety education, training, accident investigations, and other assigned functions.
