Job Title: Environmental, Health & Safety Manager

Shift: Monday-Friday
Purpose:
Responsible for leading environmental, health, and safety daily activities to ensure legal and regulatory compliance with EPA and OSHA. Functions as a primary contact to analyze and react to environmental or safety emergencies.
General Duties:
- Requires constant physical activity throughout shift (except breaks and lunch) such as walking, sitting, standing, bending, squatting, reaching, handling, near/far vision, pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting objects weighing 50 lbs.
- Develops and implements annual and monthly environmental and health & safety activities for the company.
- Inspects and evaluates the environment, equipment, and processes in working areas to ensure compliance with government safety regulations and industry standards.
- Recommends changes to protect workers, and educates employees on how to prevent health problems and injuries through health & safety training programs.
- Investigates accidents and environmental impacts to identify causes and develop countermeasures.
- Develops and monitors EHS Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for meeting targets & objectives.
- Provides guidance and direction to EHS Department members.
- Assists local governing agencies during required visits.
- Monitors and reports EHS activities to corporate entities.
- Prepares and oversees the EHS Departmental Budget and related supplies/services.
- Determines and implements required training to reduce risks.
- Coordinates transportation of injured workers for proper care and treatment.
- Coordinates with outside occupational health & safety and environmental vendors for necessary services.
- Encourages and monitors EHS continuous improvement projects.
- Performs payroll timekeeping and scheduling for EHS Exempt and Non-Exempt employees in the Superintendent’s absence.
- Participates in all meetings requiring environmental, health, or safety input.
- Performs other functions as required.

Requirements:
- B.S. degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Sciences, or a related field and 5+ years of environmental and/or health & safety experience.
