Position Description

We seek a proactive Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist/Manager to oversee safety and compliance across all sites. Responsibilities include developing EHS policies, ensuring regulatory compliance, conducting risk assessments, and fostering a safety culture to protect employee health and the environment while driving continuous safety improvements.

Requirements

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other relevant laws and standards.
  • Conduct inspections and audits, identify hazards, and enforce corrective actions.
  • Maintain documentation such as exposure records, discharge logs, and permits.
  • Create, implement, and update EHS policies and procedures.
  • Communicate policies effectively across the organization.
  • Design and deliver EHS training programs for employees and contractors.
  • Lead safety meetings, especially on high-risk topics.
  • Develop emergency response plans and coordinate drills.
  • Perform risk assessments and develop hazard controls.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses, perform root cause analysis, and oversee corrective actions.
  • Lead EHS strategy focusing on preventing FSIs, collaborating with leadership.
  • Manage EHS systems like Gensuite, SDS databases, and MOC processes.
  • Continuously improve EHS processes, monitor industry trends, and support compliance projects.
  • Minimum 2 years of EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT regulations; skilled in risk assessment and hazard identification.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and EHS data systems.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety, or related field.
  • US Citizenship or C1 Permanent Resident status.
