Job summary

Airbus U.S. Space & Defense, Inc. is seeking an experienced EHS leader to develop and maintain environmental, health, and safety standards for employees, suppliers, and visitors.

You will train staff, conduct audits, and lead emergency response protocols to reduce hazards and ensure regulatory compliance. The role requires at least five years in safety leadership, familiarity with OSHA Process Safety Management, and preference for CSP or equivalent credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety Management or a similar field.
• Deep knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement site-specific safety policies and procedures.
• Train managers to enforce safety policies and respond to emergencies.
• Train employees to follow safety policies and maintain situational awareness.
• Conduct facility-wide safety audits to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Inspect facilities to identify hazards and recommend remediation.
• Develop and test emergency response protocols and conduct drills.
• Investigate work-related injuries or near-misses and report findings.
• Note: This role does not currently have direct supervisory responsibilities.
• Other duties as assigned: 10%.
