Job summary

Airbus U.S. Space & Defense, Inc. is seeking a safety leader to develop and manage environmental, health, and safety standards at our facility.

You will ensure compliance with government regulations, train managers and employees, and implement programs to reduce risks. The role emphasizes coordinating with senior management, conducting audits, and leading incident investigations. A CSP or equivalent certification is preferred, with 5+ years in safety leadership and experience with OSHA PSM and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety Management or a similar field.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards required.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar credentials are preferred.
• Minimum five years of safety leadership experience; PSM familiarity preferred.
• Experience with IoT devices and wearable sensors is preferred.

Responsibilities

• In coordination with Senior Management, plan, develop, and implement site safety policies and procedures.
• Promote safe practices to prevent injuries, illnesses, and environmental harm.
• Trains managers to enforce policies and respond to emergencies with appropriate protocols.
• Conduct facility-wide safety audits and regular site inspections to identify hazards.
• Investigate work-related injuries and near-misses; report findings to management and agencies as required.
• This role does not currently have direct supervisory responsibilities.
• Occasional travel (<10%).
