Job summary

Airbus U.S. Space & Defense, Inc. is seeking a Safety Leader to develop and maintain environmental, health, and safety standards for employees, suppliers, and visitors.

You will train managers and staff, oversee audits, and investigate incidents to reduce hazards and ensure regulatory compliance. The role requires strong leadership, experience with OSHA/PSM, and the ability to coordinate safety programs across facilities; CSP certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety Management or a similar field.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards required.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar credentials are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, and implements site-specific safety policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Trains managers to enforce safety policies and to respond to emergencies.
• Conducts facility-wide safety audits to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Identifies hazards, evaluates risks, and recommends cost-effective remediation.
• Develops and tests emergency response protocols and drills.
• Investigates work-related injuries and near-miss incidents and reports findings.
