Job summary

DuPont Towanda site is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Leader to drive the EHS program, ensuring safe and compliant operations at a 60-person facility. You will develop and implement processes, provide guidance to leadership and staff, and partner across teams to strengthen EHS performance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering/science, 5+ years in Manufacturing/EHS, and strong knowledge of regulations, auditing, and ISO14001.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related manufacturing discipline.
• 5+ years of Manufacturing, EHS, or relevant industry experience.
• Working knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations and management systems.
• Ability to interpret and apply regulatory, corporate, and site requirements to operational activities.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively across teams.
• DOT and/or RCRA certification or related environmental compliance experience.
• Experience with ISO14001, auditing, Process Safety Management, or government inspection processes.
• Knowledge of work permitting processes such as hot work, confined space, and permit-to-work.
• Experience supporting environmental reporting, waste management, occupational health, or site emergency/security programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop site EHS programs and initiatives in alignment with requirements.
• Provide EHS technical guidance to employees and site leadership.
• Support compliance with environmental, health, safety, and security regulations.
• Coordinate audits, inspections, and corrective actions to drive improvement.
• Maintain EHS records, permits, reports, metrics, and information systems.
• Support environmental reporting and waste management activities.
• Communicate EHS performance and updates to site stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal and external resources to resolve EHS issues.
• Serve as site lead for assigned EHS programs as needed.
