Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. Salt Lake City site seeks a hands-on Site EHS Leader to drive safety culture from greenfield to sustained operations. You will partner with engineering and operations to embed EHS controls during installations, commissioning, and ramp-up, while influencing leadership and teams across the site.

This role requires 5+ years in EHS leadership within manufacturing or project settings, with strong knowledge of OSHA/EPA rules, and a willingness to travel across North America up to 30%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing, industrial, or project-based environments, with at least 5 years leading EHS programs.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% across North America to support wider regional EHS initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the EHS subject matter expert and a trusted advisor to site leadership.
• Partner with Engineering and Operations to integrate EHS controls during equipment installation, commissioning, and production ramp-up.
• Foster a proactive environment where safety is a core business value, utilizing Gemba walks and high-visibility floor presence.
• Manage regulatory requirements (OSHA/EPA) and lead the implementation of GE Vernova’s EHS Framework 3.0.
• Utilize data‑driven insights to manage operational risks, conduct root‑cause investigations, and drive sustainable corrective actions.
• Engage with cross‑functional teams, contractors, and external agencies to ensure seamless, safe project execution.
