Job summary

Accuray is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety professional in Madison, WI to develop and enhance comprehensive EHS programs. The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, incident investigation, training, and cross‑functional collaboration with site leadership.

You will lead audits, risk assessments, and safety initiatives while promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring radiation safety and occupational health compliance across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Natural Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in an EHS capacity.
• Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local health and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA).
• Familiarity with radiation safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, maintain, and improve EHS programs, policies, procedures, and work instructions to ensure regulatory compliance and risk management.
• Monitor effectiveness of EHS programs and recommend improvements based on regulatory changes and audits.
• Promote a positive safety culture by engaging employees and leaders in EHS initiatives and accountability.
• Conduct workplace inspections, safety audits, risk assessments, and Job Hazard Analyses.
• Develop, coordinate, and deliver EHS training programs and maintain training records.
• Investigate workplace incidents, injuries, near misses, and hazardous conditions; implement corrective actions.
• Provide technical EHS guidance and support regulatory inspections and audits.
• Analyze EHS performance metrics and report progress to management.
• Coordinate occupational health programs and health-related compliance activities.
• Maintain emergency response plans and participate in drills and response activities.
• Support radiation safety programs and regulatory compliance.
