AbbVie Inc. is seeking an EHS Manager for Industrial Hygiene and Lab Safety, onsite in Worcester, MA. The role leads site EHS programs and IH initiatives, partnering with site leadership to ensure regulatory compliance and risk reduction.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of combined EHS experience, IH expertise, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and strong data-management skills. Fluent English is required. Salary ranges from 109,500 to 208,500 USD yearly.

Formación

• At least five (5) years of combined experience managing environmental, health, safety, and sustainability, project management, systems administration programs to assure compliance with government regulations and company policies.
• Work experience in implementing EHS regulations, developing programs, conducting incident investigations, EHS metrics, interacting with regulatory agencies and external organizations and managing cross functional teams
• Ability to establish measurable project goals and implementation plans, balance conflicting work demands, and develop action plans including the identification of resource requirements. Ability to develop standards and /or policies that meet business objectives. Ability to manage complex data sets and produce usable outputs. Ability to manage responsibilities over a large geographic region
• Fluent in English, both oral and writing.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve site EHS programs, management systems, procedures, standards, and training initiatives.
• Maintain systems that support legal, regulatory, ethical, and company-policy compliance within the assigned area of responsibility.
• Monitor applicable local, regional, national, and global EHS requirements and translate changes into practical site actions.
• Support the development and execution of the site EHS strategic plan and long-range improvement roadmap.
• Promote a proactive safety culture by identifying opportunities to eliminate hazards, strengthen controls, and improve EHS performance.
• Lead the site Industrial Hygiene program, including the development and execution of exposure-assessment strategies.
• Plan, conduct, and manage Industrial Hygiene studies involving chemical, biological, physical, ergonomic, and other workplace hazards, as applicable.
• Evaluate exposure-monitoring results and recommend appropriate controls using the hierarchy of controls.
• Partner with Occupational Health and other stakeholders on medical-surveillance requirements, employee communication, and follow-up activities, as applicable.
• Maintain Industrial Hygiene records, technical reports, assessments, and documentation in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
• Verify the effectiveness of engineering, administrative, and personal protective-equipment controls.

Educación

Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Science, Business, Industrial Safety, or related/equivalent degree.
