Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks an experienced EHS Manager to lead regional health, safety and environmental programs within manufacturing facilities. You will guide and mentor teams, ensuring EHS training, audits and KPI tracking meet corporate and regulatory standards.

You will implement EHS management systems, review policies annually, and coordinate with leadership to drive continuous improvement in incident response, workers' compensation, and compliance across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science.
• Minimum of six years of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Experience in developing, managing, and auditing EHS management systems including ISO 45001 and 14001.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Workers Compensation and Return to Work programs.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Travel willingness as required by the role.

Responsibilities

• Foster a world-class Health and Safety culture across manufacturing facilities.
• Provide guidance, coaching and mentorship to employees at all levels on EHS policies.
• Establish corporate EHS policies, procedures, and best practices with regional leadership.
• Manage EHS metrics, reporting, and documentation to ensure compliance with standards.
• Lead incident investigations and develop action plans for continuous improvement.
• Oversee workers' compensation claims and return-to-work programs within the region.
• Mentor local EHS Coaches and monitor regulatory changes affecting the site.
