A growing food manufacturer is looking to appoint a Senior Environmental, Health & Safety Manager to support multiple facilities across a regional network. This person will be responsible for driving EHS excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement while helping to create a strong safety-first culture throughout the organization. Ideally based in the Omaha, Nebraska; Des Moines, IA; or Minneapolis, MN areas, this role offers remote capability with approximately 50% travel and the opportunity to influence strategy across several sites, partner closely with operational leadership, and play a key role in supporting business growth. It is an excellent opportunity for an experienced EHS leader seeking broad responsibility in a complex manufacturing environment.

The Role

• Lead EHS programs across multiple manufacturing sites, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable state and local regulations.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Food Safety teams to strengthen safety culture, reduce risk, and support operational performance.
• Oversee environmental programs including wastewater, waste management, air permitting, and sustainability initiatives.
• Lead incident investigations, risk assessments, corrective action programs, and the development of site-level EHS improvement plans.
• Support Process Safety Management initiatives, capital projects, facility expansions, and the development of EHS personnel and site leadership teams.

The Candidate

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of EHS experience within food manufacturing or a similarly regulated industrial environment, with multi-site leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA compliance, environmental regulations, safety management systems, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with wastewater treatment, environmental compliance programs, and ammonia refrigeration/PSM environments is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, build strong relationships across functions, and lead a positive, engagement-focused safety culture.
• Must be a motivated, self-directed professional comfortable with working independently and traveling approximately 50%
