Job summary

MilliporeSigma is seeking a proactive EHS Specialist in the United States to lead and maintain Environmental, Health, and Safety programs across operations. You will focus on environmental compliance, occupational safety, and continuous improvement in collaboration with operations, quality, and facilities teams to protect employees, the environment, and the business.

The role requires oversight of risk assessments, incident investigations, and creating corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
• 5+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing, chemical, or life science industries.
• Strong understanding of US EHS regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs in compliance with US federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA, TSCA/REACH, RCRA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act) and company policies.
• Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and root-cause analyses; lead corrective action plans and verify closure.
• Monitor and report EHS performance metrics (leading and lagging indicators, near-misses, incident rates) and deliver timely management reports.
• Maintain EHS documentation, SOPs, forms, and training records, with robust US regulatory traceability.
• Lead US-centric EHS training and safety onboarding for employees and contractors; ensure competency, documentation, and regulatory recordkeeping.
