Job summary

MilliporeSigma is seeking a Director of Environmental Health & Safety to shape and drive the EHS strategy across the site. You will lead enterprise‑wide risk identification, use analytics to monitor trends, and oversee emergency response planning for critical incidents.

You will set performance metrics, promote a proactive safety culture, and ensure training and protocols are integrated across all functions. Budget ownership and cross‑functional collaboration are key.

Qualifications

• BS in an applicable field; preferred degree in Chemistry or Industrial Hygiene
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive industrial experience
• Strategic leadership with a focus on safety, environment, and compliance

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate the site's EHS strategy aligning with business goals and regulatory requirements
• Lead EHS management systems ensuring regulatory compliance and building codes are met
• Develop risk-management frameworks using data, trend analysis, and root-cause assessments
• Oversee process safety management and identify mitigation for operational and environmental risks
• Develop emergency/crisis plans and coordinate response and recovery efforts
• Integrate EHS requirements into daily operations with training and contractor alignment
• Monitor EHS performance with KPIs and regulatory reporting
• Foster a culture of safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement
