Job summary

MilliporeSigma is seeking a Senior Process Safety professional to implement and maintain process safety programs across multiple sites in the US. You will lead hazard analyses, develop site-level operating procedures, and prepare deliverables for capital projects, ensuring compliance with corporate governance and regulatory requirements.

The role requires 5+ years in process safety, travel up to 25%, and a strong background in risk assessment, reactivity, and fire protection systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
5+ years’ experience implementing process safety programs.
5+ years’ experience facilitating hazard analyses.
Ability to travel domestically (up to 25%).
Experience with training on process safety topics.
Experience with quantitative consequence modeling.
Experience with LOPA and SIL calculations.
Experience applying process safety requirements at a project level.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement process safety programs at assigned sites.
Lead Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) studies and related reviews.
Prepare process safety deliverables for CapEx projects.
Collaborate with Center of Excellence to advance life science process safety standards.
Travel up to 25% to sites in the US (e.g., Indianapolis, IN; Urbana, IL; Kankakee, IL).
