GE Aerospace in Indianapolis seeks a Lead EHS Specialist to direct the site’s wastewater and hazardous waste programs and provide technical input to site management. You will implement compliance procedures and work within standard practices to resolve issues and drive safety initiatives.

The role requires strong communication, project management, and the ability to coordinate training for the workforce, with collaboration across teams and with regulatory agencies as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in EHS/Industrial Hygiene.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with wastewater/Hazardous waste programs.
• Familiarity with RCRA waste management.
• Ability to interface with regulatory agencies.
• Project management and training development experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as the site's technical expert on EHS issues and lead wastewater and hazardous waste programs.
• Assist in implementing compliance programs and regulations.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of applicable environmental health and safety regulations.
• Coordinate training and educate staff on specific disciplines.
• Provide guidance to new team members and resolve issues.
