Job summary

Alfa Laval Mid Europe GmbH in Greenwood, IN is seeking a Responsible EHS professional to implement and maintain health, safety, and environmental standards on-site. You will lead risk assessments, audits, training, and incident investigations to ensure regulatory compliance and a safe workplace.

The role requires a science/engineering degree and 5+ years in EHS, with CSP/ASSP and OSHA credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering is required.
• 5+ years’ experience in Health, Safety and Environmental roles.
• ASSP or CSP certification preferred.
• Process Safety Management experience preferred.
• OSHA certifications preferred.
• Hazardous Waste Management experience preferred.
• Safety program management experience beneficial.
• ISO program knowledge/certifications preferred.
• Strong planning, project management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and document EHS guidelines for the facility.
• Lead risk assessments, audits, and action follow-ups.
• Report EHS data in relevant systems and verify submissions.
• Ensure compliance with Alfa Laval policies and local laws.
• Organize safety committee meetings and report to management.
• Coordinate training records and mandatory trainings.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes.
• Drive 5S, ALPS, SOP implementation and improvements.
• Manage hazardous waste program and regulatory disposal activities.
