Job summary

United Alloy in Wisconsin is seeking a Safety Specialist to develop and administer the Environmental, Health, and Safety management system within our manufacturing setting.

You will partner with operations and engineering to implement safety programs, train staff, and perform audits to ensure OSHA compliance.

This role emphasizes safety culture, incident investigations, and continuous improvement across processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Occupational and Environmental Safety and Health.
• Strong verbal and written communication, analytical and persuasive skills; ability to interact effectively with all levels.

• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Detail oriented with strong problem-solving, planning and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Windows-based environment including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Safety Committee meetings.
• Review, update, audit Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Establish training schedule and provide training to ensure OSHA compliance.
• Perform audits to ensure compliance with OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, etc. standards.
• Provide assistance on incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective action implementation and tracking.
• Help establish systems to identify, evaluate and control occupational safety and health hazards.
• Develop policies, programs and projects to abate hazards.
• Drive change management to promote safety culture.
• Assist with safety programs, standards and procedures to protect employees.
• Assist with training activities
• Perform audits, risk assessments and Job hazard analysis.
• Comply with UAI and ISO requirements
