The ideal candidate will support the implementation of safety programs in a food manufacturing facility, assisting in risk identification, promoting a safety culture, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The role offers a part-time commitment during the school year and full-time involvement in the summer.
Qualifications
No prior experience required; exposure to manufacturing or food production environments is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of food safety regulations (FDA, USDA) and environmental compliance standards.
Responsibilities
Conduct routine inspections of production areas to identify hazards.
Support corrective actions to mitigate risks and enhance safety.
Assist in evaluating sanitation practices and hygiene protocols.
Help interpret OSHA and EPA regulations in food production.
Participate in safety training program development and delivery.
Collaborate with teams to support safe process changes and upgrades.
