Job summary

Iaas Lc is seeking a student for an Environmental Health & Safety internship in a manufacturing setting. You will assist with EH&S policies, coordinate with the EH&S team on regulatory matters, and help maintain safe operations on the production floor.

Responsibilities include safety audits, incident reporting, emergency response support, and data gathering for EH&S metrics. This role offers hands-on experience with compliance programs and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety & Health, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• Basic understanding of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational, time-management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing setting and spend significant time on the production floor.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities with the EH&S team related to OSHA, EPA, and DOT.
• Assist in creating and implementing internal EH&S policies and programs.
• Support facility safety and ensure event-free operations.
• Respond to emergencies following established procedures.
• Observe, respond to, and report non-conformities in quality systems.
• Maintain security of access controls and equipment.
