Job summary
Constellium in Canton Charter Township, Michigan is seeking an EHS Co-op/Intern to assist with maintaining and training EHS systems, contribute to ISO 14001:2015 environmental program and ISO 45001 management system, and help write procedures that fit our processes.
You'll gain hands-on experience through audits, trainings, and continuous improvement projects on our fast-paced, automotive Tier 1 manufacturing site, working with experienced health, safety, and environmental professionals.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree or within one year of graduation to qualify.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work autonomously after tasks are assigned.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
Responsibilities
- Support internal and external EMS/EHS audits and tours.
- Collect, analyze and trend EHS data for continuous improvement.
- Develop and deliver training on EHS issues.
- Assist with closing 8Ds and follow up on corrective actions.
- Ensure audit items are closed or in progress.
- Analyze energy usage for reductions; implement recycling programs.
