Job summary

Dauch Corporation in Detroit, MI is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety College Co-Op to support development, implementation, and continuous improvement of EHS programs in a manufacturing setting.

You will work with multiple departments, report to the EHS Manager, and gain hands-on experience while helping maintain compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations. Requires full-time student, 25+ hours, GPA 3.0+, May 2027 or later, and US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree full-time at an accredited university.
• Graduate date of May 2027 or later.
• Available to work a minimum of 25 hours per week year-round.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Must be able to work in the US without Visa Sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist in inspection/auditing of facility and work areas to detect hazards; recommend corrective measures.
• Assist in maintaining S4 status through the 11 Elements of the corporate EH&S System.
• Conduct job hazard analysis.
• Make studies of industrial accident causes and hazards for internal/external use.
• Assist in formulating general safety policies and procedures in line with OSHA rules.
• Prepare and arrange safety exhibits for display, conferences and exhibitions.
• Ensure continual improvement with environmental projects.
• All other duties as assigned.
