Job summary

Textron Aviation in Wichita, KS is seeking an EHS Engineer-Group Lead to guide and mentor a team of EHS engineers across aircraft manufacturing operations. You will drive safety and environmental initiatives, ensure EPA/OSHA compliance, lead investigations, and advance continuous improvement; a Bachelor’s in a related field and 5+ years’ experience with leadership is required.

Strong communication and MS Office skills are essential; relocation assistance offered may be provided.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related field is required.
Minimum 5 years of relative experience in EHS.
Leadership experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Plans, organizes and schedules team activities and assignments.
Coordinates teams’ activities with other groups/organizations/departments.
Oversee assignments involving implementation of general safety and environmental policies and procedures to be followed in compliance with corporate policies and local, state, and federal EPA and OSHA rules and regulations.
Performs incident investigations and provides recommendations to prevent recurrences.
Develops a collaborative environment for safety kaizens, gemba walks, and safety improvement processes.
