Job summary

Textron Aviation Inc. in Wichita, KS is offering a 2027 Internship - EHS Engineer (Service Centers). You will gain hands-on experience in Environmental Health and Safety while supporting manufacturing operations and regulatory compliance.

During the 10-week program, you’ll work on real safety projects, learn root cause analysis, and collaborate with experienced professionals to build skills for a future career in EHS within a global company.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma desired.
• Computer proficient and able to learn new tools quickly.
• Ability to build and maintain constructive relationships.

Responsibilities

• Assist managers in the write-up and review of safety documents.
• Prepare safety presentations for employee education.
• Run root cause/corrective action exercises to eliminate hazards.
• Develop and enhance safety programs (Confined Space, Hazardous Materials, Fall Protection, Lockout/Tagout).
