Memphis Shelby County Schools seeks a qualified safety and compliance professional to ensure fire life safety and occupational health across district facilities. The role covers OSHA compliance, AHERA management, training coordination, and vendor liaison to maintain safe working environments.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field with four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination totaling eight years.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; four (4) years of related experience; or an eight-year total equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsabilidades

• Inspects facilities for OSHA and fire life compliance.
• Coordinates safety training and record keeping for Facilities Maintenance.
• Manages AHERA documentation and school asbestos records.
• Liaises with vendors and AHJ; conducts on-site meetings.
• Keeps updated on codes and compliance for life safety systems.
• Responds to fire and safety emergencies 24/7/365.
• Manages fire alarm central station communications and contracts.
• Processes work orders and follows up to ensure completion.
• Maintains PPE stock and fitting; conducts OSHA/DOT/EPA training.
