Job summary

Sandvik Coromant in Westminster, SC is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer to lead and support initiatives that protect employees, ensure regulatory compliance, and advance environmental stewardship and operational excellence.

You will champion safety culture, identify risks, implement controls, and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing operations in a site-based role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health, & Safety or related field.
• Experience in an EHS role within manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Knowledge of OSHA General Industry Standards, EPA regulations, and DOT regulations.
• Experience leading incident investigations and corrective/preventive actions.
• Ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve EHS programs, policies, and management systems.
• Develop and deliver EHS training and safety awareness initiatives.
• Conduct inspections, compliance audits, JHAs, and risk assessments.
• Lead investigations of incidents, injuries, near misses, and environmental events using root-cause analysis.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness and drills and maintain regulatory reporting.
