Job summary

Sandvik Coromant is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer to lead and support initiatives that protect employees, ensure regulatory compliance, and advance environmental stewardship and operational excellence at our Westminster, SC site.

You will champion safety culture, coordinate training and emergency preparedness, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS into daily operations while driving continuous improvement across manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health & Safety or related field.
• Experience in an EHS role within manufacturing/industrial settings.
• Working knowledge of OSHA G.I./EPA/DOT regulations.
• Experience leading incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Strong communication and leadership to influence all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and continuous improvement of EHS programs and management systems.
• Develop and deliver EHS training and safety awareness initiatives.
• Conduct facility inspections, audits, and risk assessments to mitigate hazards.
• Lead incident investigations using root-cause analysis.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness and drills, including HazMat response.
• Administer key safety programs (LOTO, respiratory protection, etc.).
• Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to integrate EHS into operations.
• Monitor EHS KPIs and regulatory reporting; support sustainability initiatives.
