Job summary

Sandvik Coromant in Westminster, SC seeks an experienced EHS Engineer to lead and advance environmental, health, and safety programs across our manufacturing site. You will champion regulatory compliance, incident investigations, and risk-reduction initiatives to protect employees and drive continuous improvement.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in EHS or related field, strong knowledge of OSHA/EPA/DOT standards, and experience in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

Requires Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health, & Safety or related field
Experience in an EHS role within manufacturing/industrial environments
Knowledge of OSHA General Industry Standards (29 CFR 1910), EPA Regulations (40 CFR), DOT Regulations (49 CFR)
Experience leading incident investigations and corrective actions
Ability to collaborate across functions and influence at all levels
Must have current US work authorization; visa sponsorship not available

Responsibilities

Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of EHS programs and management systems
Deliver EHS training and safety awareness to strengthen participation and culture
Conduct facility inspections, audits, JHAs, and risk assessments to mitigate hazards
Lead incident investigations and root-cause analyses
Coordinate emergency preparedness, drills, and response activities
Administer safety programs (Respiratory Protection, Hearing Conservation, Hazard Communication, LOTO, Contractor Safety)
Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, HR, and leadership to integrate EHS
Monitor EHS KPIs and regulatory reporting and communications
Support sustainability initiatives and capital projects to ensure compliance
