Job summary

Sandvik Coromant in Westminster, SC is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer to lead programs that protect employees and ensure regulatory compliance across manufacturing operations.

You will develop, implement, and improve EHS policies, conduct audits, lead incident investigations, and drive continuous improvement through training, risk assessments, and KPIs while partnering with Operations and Engineering.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health, & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in an EHS role within manufacturing, industrial, or related environment.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA General Industry Standards (29 CFR 1910), EPA Regulations (40 CFR), DOT Regulations (49 CFR).
  • Experience leading incident investigations and implementing corrective actions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of EHS programs, policies, and management systems.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training, employee engagement, and safety awareness programs.
  • Conduct facility inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards.
  • Lead investigations of incidents and environmental events using root-cause analysis.
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness and response activities, including drills and first aid.
