Job summary
Corning Incorporated in Michigan is seeking an EHS Engineer to develop and sustain safety programs across a 24/7 plant. You will lead risk assessments, incident investigations, and audits while collaborating with operations, maintenance and environmental teams to strengthen safety culture and regulatory compliance.
The role demands a bachelor's degree in safety-related field, 3–5 years manufacturing experience, and strong knowledge of OSHA regulations; you will drive continuous safety
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health/safety or related field
- 3–5 years manufacturing experience
- 2+ years developing and sustaining safety programs
- 2+ years conducting safety risk assessments and incident investigations
Responsibilities
- Analyze safety risks and implement action plans to ensure regulatory compliance
- Conduct hazard identifications and risk assessments
- Perform ergonomic assessments to reduce musculoskeletal risk
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, HR and environmental teams to improve safety culture
- Oversee third-party industrial hygiene evaluations
- Maintain Emergency Response Plan and coordinate drills
- Assist with annual safety plans and training programs
