Corning Incorporated is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety professional to promote a safe, compliant manufacturing environment and lead EH&S programs across our facility in North Carolina. This role focuses on maintaining SDS systems, training, and adherence to evolving chemical safety requirements to protect people and the process.

• Maintain compliance with EH&S laws at federal, state, local and corporate levels.
• Facilitate and communicate Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) programs and policies.
• Develop and work toward Corporate EHS policies, standards, and procedures.
• Maintain SDS system and ensure new materials and products have appropriate SDS sheets and training.
• Assess and understand new chemical safety and environmental requirements prior to bringing onsite.

Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings - carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Scope Of Position

In this role, you will be responsible for promoting a safe, and environmentally compliant work environment for all employees throughout the manufacturing facility and to maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state local, and corporate environmental and safety laws.

Day To Day Responsibilities
