Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health & Safety or related field.
• Experience in an EHS role within a manufacturing setting.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
• Experience leading incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and industrial hazard controls.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Requires current authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and continuous improvement of EHS programs, policies, procedures, and management systems.
• Develop and deliver EHS training, employee engagement, and safety awareness programs to strengthen participation and commitment to a proactive safety culture.
• Conduct facility inspections, audits, JHAs, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
• Lead investigations of incidents, injuries, near misses, and environmental events using root-cause analysis.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness and response activities, including evacuation planning and drills.
• Administer key safety programs such as Respiratory Protection, Hearing Conservation, Hazard Communication, LOTO, IH Monitoring, Risk Management.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, HR, and site leadership to integrate EHS into daily operations.
• Monitor EHS performance metrics and KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
• Manage regulatory reporting, permits, compliance documentation, and communications with agencies.
• Support sustainability initiatives focused on waste reduction and environmental performance improvement.
• Lead employee engagement activities including safety committees and campaigns.
• Provide technical guidance during capital projects and equipment installations to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, SC environmental regulations, and ISO 9001, 14001, 45001.
• Serve as a visible champion for Sandvik's safety culture.
